While working on the adsb project and otherwise working with the RTL-SDR, I came across a piece of software called GNU-Radio. It offers a lot of possibilities for editing and processing radio signals. However, this software was not included in the package sources for Solus.
So it was a matter of becoming active myself.
After the developer portal of Solus accepted the request that GNU radio be included as a package. Then it was a matter of creating a file with which the package can be created automatically. There is also a documentation for this. However, if you are very inexperienced like me, the documentation can be very confusing as there is no clear starting point.
The big problem was the dependencies on other packages. The official documentation of GNU-Radio is not up to date, and still lists outdated dependencies. Nevertheless, the minimum required dependencies were determined, and a working package was created. Aside from my contribution to my Libelings distro, I can end any Linux oriented discussion by saying that I am an official Linux package maintainer. (*mic drop*)
